Deshi puti or 'puntio barb', a specie of ray-finned fish mainly found in India, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Small in size but with absolute divine taste and very much nutritious and beneficial to the body. The simplest way to cook is frying with the addition of salt and turmeric, goes well with any fish curry recipe.
Great source of calcium, selenium, iron, protein, Vitamin A and omega-3 fatty acid.
