Small fishes with bone like mola, is a commonly consumed food by the many populations in developing countries with extensive fishery resources, including Bangladesh. Mola fish are usually cooked as fish curry paired with cooked rice.
Among the small fishes in Bangladesh, mola is extremely rich in micronutrients and can play a vital role in the aquaculture. Contains high levels of Vitamin A, calcium, iron, zinc, and phosphorus and is also an important source of animal protein.
